Snakes

Southeast Asia

Malaysia's snakes are among the most fascinating reptiles in Southeast Asia. Most Malaysian species also occur in adjacent or distant countries in the region, such as Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and Borneo. Snakes that do not fall into a specific category due to being a monotypic species or lacking information and photographs of other family members will be described in this section. Genera that constitute only two species of the group in Malaysia will also be explored here.
