Flying Frogs

Southeast Asia

Flying frogs are a group of Rhacophorids from Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Borneo and Indonesia in Southeast Asia. These frogs have extensive webbing on their legs, which provide a limited gliding ability (more akin to parachuting to the ground). However, the only really true flying frog of the group is the Wallace flying frog, as it has the largest webbing among the group and skin flaps along the limbs, allowing it to glide for a considerable distance. Flying frogs are foam nest breeders.
